This Friday 13th is a particularly good one because it's been four years today since Nans and I started going out, and I've never been more certain about the durability of our relationship. No, I don't think I'll jinx it by saying that (though if we do break up, I guess I'll be able to appreciate the irony). We're living together now, and for the first time in over six months, things are starting to look up on the job front. Nans has one already, as I mentioned before, and I'm expecting a call from the babysitting agency today. A sufficient amount of money arrived too, so we went and did the shopping for the first time in ages, and it's nice to have proper food in the house.
I've always been very interested in the paranormal, and I'm very open-minded about it. I have a pack of tarot cards (in fact I also have a pack of Titania fortune cards and a pack medicine cards) and I consult them occasionally. Sometimes they're surprisingly accurate. Anyway, I recently read an article by Holly Lisle (my favourite reference when it comes to writing techniques) which might interest those of you who, like me, are curious about those things we haven't yet managed to explain. Whether you're a writer or not, I think this might interest you.
Happy Friday 13th!
"One for sorrow,
two for joy,
three for a girl,
for for a boy,
five for silver,
six for gold,
seven for a secret,
never to be told,
eight for a wish,
nine for a kiss,
ten for a time
of joyous bliss."
