Ooh! Ooh! Guess what? I have a plot. Well, I had a plot before, but now I have ZE plot. Part of the original plot just became really juicy (yes, juicy - the kind of plot you'd gossip about if it were real and happened in your town, to someone you knew). And it happened so suddenly, like magic, that it restored my faith that if I keep writing this story, sooner or later, the rest of the plot will come to me in the same way. I'll have to go back and edit the rest of the story numerous times to add clues and red herrings, but in the end I'll have something so complex and twisty that even my mother won't be able to figure out the ending. Genius!
Well, it feels like genius now. Like a lot of my ideas, it'll probably feel really obvious tomorrow morning, but never mind. I have a good feeling about this one, I'd like to keep it. And if I get other ideas like it, I'll be able to weave them in in such a way that the reader won't suspect the plot twists to come.
In other news, it is half past midnight in France, I have my teenaged sister round to stay until tomorrow, and I'm probably going to the beach this weekend. With Nans and a friend of ours. And we might be meeting my dad and sisters there, too, because apparently they were planning on going to the same beach this Saturday.
